Draw the flag of Mexico is an exercise typical to teach to the children attending the elementary education, the history, the meaning and the setting of this important national symbol. Therefore, in this brief article, I talk about more of it and we’ll tell you how to draw it properly:
The colors of the flag
The flag of Mexico is divided into three sections of equal parts, three stripes drawn vertically. The colors of the flag are green, white and red, from right to left.
What is the meaning of these colors?
Green: According to the tradition, this color represents hope and independence, was one of the colours with which the rebel pro-independence were identified. In addition, it is often associated with the natural wealth of Mexico.
White: Symbolizes the unity and catholicism, which was once the official religion of Mexico. Currently only represents unity and peace.
Red: In honor of the blood shed by the heroes of mexican; mainly those who during the war of independence (which lasted little over 10 years ago) fought and died for their ideals.
How to draw the flag of Mexico?
In addition to drawing each of the stripes with their respective colour, to draw the flag of Mexico must take into account that on the fringe of the centre; that is to say, the color white, it incorporates the national coat of arms. An eagle holding a serpent with its mouth and with one leg, which represents the legend of aztec people (or mexica), according to which they would find the promised land by their god (founded the city of Tenochtitlan).
So, when you draw the flag of Mexico should respect the traditional colours of this and the shield, same as we can see in the flag, which is placed below (and, we hope, will serve as an example):
